In January of last year I published my first art book. This book is a collection of my doodle art and watercolor paintings. With each painting I have told a story from my life and/or personal experience from my journey on being an artist. I’m excited to share with you one chapter from my book. This week is Chapter Number 30 – Leave A Little Sparkle.
One day I met the sweetest woman. Her name was Hazel. Hazel was 89 years old. She was a very tiny woman that stood maybe 4-feet tall. Her mind was as sharp as a tack and she remembered everything.
Hazel didn’t really have a “walk”. Her “walk” was more like a “skip”. Never once did I see Hazel when she wasn’t smiling.
Hazel would see me drive up and she would come down the street in her cute little skipping way to see me as if she hadn’t seen me in years. When she finally reached me she would be beaming from ear to ear and say, “I just wanted to come say hi and give you a hug”.
Hazel truly left a little sparkle wherever she went. I wish there were more Hazels in the world today.
