In January of last year I published my first art book. This book is a collection of my doodle art and watercolor paintings. With each painting I have told a story from my life and/or personal experience from my journey on being an artist. I’m excited to share with you one chapter from my book. This week is Chapter Number 32 – “Attitude is the Difference”.
Many years ago when I was moving from Texas to Arkansas to be with Tim, my youngest son, Bryan had flown in from California to help me pack and move.
On moving day, we had picked up the U-Haul and were waiting for the movers to come load it. When the movers arrived they said the truck wasn’t big enough and I would need to get a bigger one.
I immediately started stressing and scrambling to find another truck. Amidst my stressing, scrambling and confusion, Bryan said, “well it looks like the adventure has begun”.
His words stopped me dead in my tracks. I quickly began to re-evaluate my situation. Suddenly my stress and confusion totally changed. What seemed to be an ordeal suddenly turned into a game of fun and laugher and wondering “what next”.
I learned that adventures are much more fun than ordeals and it is all in how you look at it that makes the difference.
